“ What a charming place! And such great food. We were in the area and ended up having a late lunch here and everything was perfect. Julie took great care of us and was so personable and helpful! We sat on the patio which has lots of umbrellas, misters, and greenery - including some large containers growing cilantro and greens. You could easily pretend you weren't in the desert. We got a margarita and a Pisco sour, both delicious, and a pork empanada and the chicken and mango tostones to start. Both were excellent! The chicken and mango tostones are a little challenging to eat in that it has so much topping, but is one of the most delicious things I've eaten. We ended up having another order and I'm still thinking about them today. We also had some pork tacos which were delicious, especially with some extra of that fantastic chimichirri aioli. I saw a sign out front with happy hour specials but didn't take a picture. It doesn't seem to be on their website but they do have happy hour, and I believe they validate 1 hour of parking in the Heritage Square Garage. Loved this place and will definitely be back! ”

“ They have become my go to for a great meal and recommendation to all friends, family, and co-workers. The service and food is always consistently amazing! Any of the empanadas are a must, and there is no dish I have had that I would not get again. Empanadas are made to order, so they come out quick! I'd recommend three or at least one if having another dish. I'd also make sure to get the fried plantain appetizer. Everyone I have brought with me loved it, and has or plans to go back. I have had multiple birthdays, date nights, and celebrations here. Can't speak of it highly enough! It is also family owned and operated and they are the kindest people! ”

“ We were waiting for the ghost tour and looked for a place to eat. We found this place. The family that runs the place were very nice. The margaritas were great and the happy hour was decent. The plates are made to share and we did. We had the empanadas, tostones and yuka fries. Everything was freshly made and tasty. I really liked the tostone with pollo and mango. I could totally see this place as a great date night, girls night or just a nice dinner. When I'm Back in town I'll totally be back. ”

“ I stopped by here solo before catching the symphony while visiting Phoenix. I managed to enjoy their happy hour (it ends at 6pm, I arrived 5:50pm so they let me order fast!) -- I got a $10 margarita and $5 chicken empanada. Great prices! For my main, I got the ceviche which came with fried plantain crisps. Absolutely delicious and filling. I got a sweet empanada with banana and cheese (sounds weird but actually so good) for dessert. I was served by Alma and sat at the bar. She was super nice and friendly. The restaurant has a cozy, lively atmosphere and the location is perfect for downtown attractions. Highly recommend!! ”

“ The high rating this place has is well deserved. We got the pork and chicken empanadas for an appetizer and it was legitimately one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in my whole entire life. If you go here you HAVE to at least order the pork one. For the main dish we shared the loaded pork fried which were also delicious. The cocktails were great too. Everything came out super fast and the servers were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is in an old house and dimly lit with cool paintings. There is also a really nice, cute patio if you want to sit outside. The menu has a good variety of different Latin foods and drinks and there are some vegetarian options too. ”

Really fast service, so it's perfect for a stop before any event at Chase Field. Overall 11/10, couldn't recommend this home-style kitchen any more. ”

“ I'm so happy I tried Que Sazon. The food was incredible, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was intimate in a comfortable way. First, the food. Their ceviche and tiradito are among the best, if not the best, I've ever had. The fish had the perfect texture, and the leche de tigre with coconut milk was so smooth and balanced. The Ceviche Tradicional Peruano also had a sweet potato purée and two kinds of choclo/maíz (the boiled mote pelado and crunchy canchita style), which added nice earthy flavors and really fun textural contrasts. I tried the dessert empanadas on a whim, and doing so was definitely the right call. I've never tried aborrajados (a sweet plantain and cheese dish), but I loved the empanada take on them. The plantain and cheese filling was creamy without being gummy or mushy, and the empanada shell was fried to perfection. And somehow, it wasn't overly sweet! I came during a conference, and since the restaurant is so close to the convention center, it was often packed in the later dinner hours. I managed to get a seat at the bar the first time I came, and even though he was busy with non-stop orders, the bartender made time to have a nice conversation with me. I wish I'd asked his name so I could thank him better! ”

“ Overall 5/5 for their taste and quality of food. Came here starving with no expectations as it was my husband's recommendation, but leaving as a fan. We first started with one of each of their empanadas (chicken, pork, beef). And this comes down to preference of meat choice as all were flavorful and delicious and non overly salted and loaded with meat, but wish it was more of the temperature hot side. Our personally favorite was the pork. Tostones- hands down my favorite. This is like a tostada but with a plantain as your base vs a chip. As for the chicken, perfectly seasoned, not dry, with a charred flavor. Then topped it off with pico and mango salsa.. which perfectly balanced the whole meal Steak salad- this meal was good, but definitely would not order this again. The reason being not enough salad to start (maybe a handful or less), but there are so many other options to choose from. Th steak serving was about 3-4 oz and well seasoned, not salty. And served with their mango salsa as well. Thus, good but I'll try something else. ”
